HIKE to MARINA DEL REY BEACH from VENICE BEACH --> FREE EVENT/FREE PARKING!!!

Looking for something to do on a Saturday morning/afternoon this SUMMER (June) of 2025???

Why not join us for a relaxing, leisurely Walking Tour of Venice Beach, Venice Fishing Pier, Venice Beach Protected Sand Dunes, Ballona Lagoon, the beach area of Marina Del Rey, and Marina Del Rey Inlet Park???

This is a FREE EVENT with FREE PARKING!!! WHY HESITATE??? RSVP NOW TO ATTEND!!!

The ITINERARY for the Walking Tour is as follows (however, we can diverge from the planned ITINERARY and what Meetup members decide to do for this Meetup event, I will go along with it. It is FLEXIBLE!!!):

1. Meeting Location:

We can meet at 4:00 PM PST at the entrance to Cold Stone Creamery located at 36 Washington Blvd., Marina del Rey.

I will be wearing a green cap and light blue backpack.

2. First Segment of Hike:

We proceed down Ocean Front Walk from the Cold Stone Creamery meeting point along the Ocean Front Walking Path towards VENICE BEACH.

We can review the BEACH ACTIVITY, ARCHITECTURE OF THE HOTELS, VENICE FISHING PIER, survey the views of the Pacific Ocean along the path, chat, socialize, and get to know each other better

We can hike along Ocean Front Walking Path as the Meetup members choose.

Certainly, the VIEWS of the PACIFIC OCEAN and the COASTAL LANDSCAPE are truly lovely AND inspiring.

The Meetup Group can diverge from the planned itinerary to visit any landmark or any other activity such as coffee or tea, beer or wine, food, etc.

ALSO, the Meetup members may REVIEW the ARCHITECTURE OF THE BUILDINGS ALONG Ocean Front Walking Path with the PACIFIC OCEAN as the BACKDROP to the WALKING TOUR!!!

3. Second Segment of Hike:

We then HIKE to the Venice Beach Protected Sand Dunes, the beach area of Marina Del Rey, Ballona Lagoon, and Marina Del Rey Inlet Park where the Meetup members may rest, take a break from the hike, hang out at the Ballona Lagoon and Marina Del Rey Inlet Park, and continue to socialize and know each other better.

4. Third Segment of Hike:

We HIKE along Ocean Front Walking Path to Ballona Lagoon.

Then we proceed to along Via Donte through the Ballona Lagoon to review the flora and fauna of the Ballona Lagoon, review the architecture of the buildings along the Ballona Lagoon, chat, socialize, and get to know each other better.

It is a FUN PLACE TO VISIT and HANG OUT FOR A FEW HOURS on a LAZY afternoon in SUMMER in Los Angeles.

4. Fourth Segment of Hike:

After the Meetup group has visited Venice Beach, Venice Fishing Pier, Venice Beach Protected Sand Dunes, Ballona Lagoon, the beach area of Marina Del Rey, and Marina Del Rey Inlet Park area, the group may HIKE BACK to the MEETING POINT AT Cold Stone Creamery located at 36 Washington Blvd., Marina del Rey and the parking area.

The group may DEBRIEF on the HIKING EXPERIENCE prior to the conclusion of the Meetup event.

I recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a small backpack with sufficient water for 2-hour hike with a total of no more than 2-3 miles at most. Also, bring some snacks for the HIKE/WALKING TOUR in case you get hungry (nuts, granola bars, fruit, etc.).

IMPORTANT!!! Meetup members may elect to diverge from this planned ITINERARY to do other activities in the HIKE to MARINA DEL REY BEACH from VENICE BEACH Meetup event.

It can be Meetup members CHOICE!!!

We can meet at 4:00 PM at the entrance to Cold Stone Creamery located at 36 Washington Blvd., Marina del Rey.

There is FREE parking along Washington Blvd. between Oxford Avenue and Via Marina.
