A New Cultural Tradition by the Sea:
Hosted at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica, the festival provides an intimate setting just steps from the beach. Audiences can expect world-class musicianship, forward-thinking programming, and a welcoming environment that reflects Santa Monica’s artistic spirit.
The Santa Monica Music Festival is produced by the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra. Founded in 2014, Kaleidoscope is known for its adventurous programming and collaborative ethos, regularly performing everything from chamber works to large symphonies, all without a conductor. Artistic decisions are made as a group through a highly collaborative and democratic process, where each musician's contributions are valued equally.
