March 20th is the first day of Spring!
And I can't think of a better way than spending an afternoon with some Impressionism and fresh air in a beautiful garden setting.
After a year plus of renovations, including closure of their beautiful gardens, Norton Simon Museum has a beautiful newly improved lovely sculpture garden and pond, which is said to be the "Giverny of Pasadena".
You might even imagine Claude Monet making an appearance amidst the water lilies We will celebrate a little spring time first with garden lunch time and then with some art viewing.
Admission
Museum Admission tickets can either be pre-reserved online or on-site.
$20 adults, $15 seniors, $0 for students and museum members
(Or buy at the entrance).

The guided (free), tour runs only once, from 1-2 pm.
It is come first serve, 20 persons max, so we should be checking in at their desk before 1 pm.
PLAN:
- Museum parking is free
- Park and meet us at museum front entrance by 11:45am sharp, to get in line. Museum opens its doors at 12:00pm
- We will need sign up immediately at the entrance for their 1:00pm guided visit. Sign up is first-come-first serve basis. They can only take 20 persons on the tour. I can imagine this will be a popular one.
- We head first to the garden/cafe for light lunch and catch up.
- After lunch, enjoy the guided tour: The Impressionist Painter's Palette, which starts at 1:00 pm
- Afterwards, have some more time to enjoy the outdoor gardens, and maybe gift shop for those who are interested.
- Stay as long as you'd like, and/or enjoy the rest of the exhibitions at Norton Simon.

With a Museum educator, look closely at Impressionist paintings by artists like Claude Monet and Alfred Sisley to discover how new attitudes about color and technical advances in paint changed the way that painters understood and represented the world.
***Space is limited to 20 participants. Sign up is required and is taken at the Information Desk when the museum opens on a first come, first served basis.
