Happy New Year! We're back with another hardware meetup. This month we'll hear from three presenters from different sides of the LA hardware ecosystem.

Special thanks to our sponsor Onshape (http://ptc.co/wVul50Hv2um) for helping make this event possible. Onshape is a next-generation cloud-native design platform that speeds up product development. It’s an all-in-one system that combines CAD, release management, workflow, collaboration, analytics, admin tools, and an API with more than 50 engineering applications. Onshape helps extended design teams work together faster and helps executives make better business decisions.

Here’s the rough agenda for the evening:

5:00 - 5:15pm Mingling on Zoom.

5:15 - 5:30pm Welcome notes from our organizers and sponsors.

5:30- 6:00pm Max Haot, Founder and CEO of Launcher (https://www.launcherspace.com/). Launcher develops efficient rocket engines and transfer vehicles for delivering small satellites into orbit. Prior to Launcher, Max founded the livestreaming hardware and software company, Livestream (acquired by Vimeo), and the livestreaming camera company Mevo (acquired by Logitech).

6:00-6:30pm Kay Yang, inventor, creative, and educator (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kayamyyang/). Kay combined her love of tinkering, robotics, and education to create Tinker the Robot (https://www.tinkertherobot.com/), all-in-one homeschooling kits for helping kids learn science and engineering. Kay has worked in several industries from biotechnology, defense, consumer products, and cleantech.

6:30-7:00pm Steven Massey, Co-founder and CEO of Prewitt Ridge (https://www.prewittridge.com/). Prewitt Ridge’s engineering collaboration software Verve treats system requirements and other design drivers as global variables, and programmatically places them in tools where engineers are doing real work. Prewitt Ridge was part of the Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator's summer 2020 cohort. Before founding Prewitt Ridge, Steven spent years working in aerospace, including 5+ years at SpaceX.

7:00-7:30pm Community announcements! If you have your own startup, an awesome project, or are looking for work in the hardware scene, now's your chance to share it with everyone. You'll have 30 seconds.

See you soon!
