Monday evening: Los Leones to Parker Mesa (7 miles Moderate)

Monday is a public holiday, and one of the longest days of the year, so let's take advantage and hit the trail again! We'll hike the Los Leones trail to the Parker Mesa Overlook - a beautiful view - and catch the golden sunset hour. The trail is a mix of sun and shade. The hike has some solid inclines, but is easy to navigate for a moderate challenge.

PARKING: Park at Los Leones Trailhead Parking, 510 Los Liones Dr, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272. Usually plenty of spots! It's off of Sunset near the PCH.

MEETING TIME: Meet at 4 PM at the trailhead. We will wait 15 minutes for latecomers and then head out on the trail. Since cell service is not reliable, we will not be able to wait for people who send last-minute messages.

BRING: There is limited shade, so bring a hat, sunblock, sunglasses, and AT LEAST 1.5 L of water. We will stop halfway for photos and snacks, so bring a sandwich, granola bars, fruit, etc. whatever you need.

SHOES: Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots.

DRESS: Athletic/ fitness gear according to the weather. Recommend t-shirt with layers so you can adjust based on sun/wind.
