A Sip of Spain: Flamenco, Folk & Copla (+Villancicos Workshop)

Step into the heart of Andalusia for one night and join María de Huelva and Yumi La Blanca for a deeply moving performance blending the fiery passion of Flamenco with Spanish Folk music and the romantic drama of the Copla — a traditional Spanish musical genre, that emerged in the 19th century.

With guitar, voice, cajón, three-holed pipe, tabor and dance, the dúo will fill the vintage charm of Bistrot Walluc with the warmth and duende of southern Spain.

• María de Huelva: guitar, voice, pipe & tabor.
• Yumi la Blanca: dance, cajón, castanets.

Due to the high demand from our last show, this event will be a special Christmas edition with an exciting new activity!
A VILLANCICOS WORKSHOP
Before the main show begins, we will host a Villancicos (Spanish Christmas carols) Workshop at 7:00 PM for 30 minutes. You’ll learn the melody of one traditional Villancico that we will all sing together at the end of the show. No Spanish needed! You can hum along or learn the melody without speaking Spanish. And if you feel brave enough to sing in Spanish—perfect! This workshop is all about fun and festive spirit. Feel free to bring your instrument in (guitar, tambourine, bells...)!!!
