Parliamo, Mangiamo, e Beviamo in Orange County (First OC Italian Meetup!)

We moved to Orange County from Los Angeles where we had a very successful Italian meetup group. Mia moglie, Claudia, è di Milano e io sono un Americano fluente nella lingua italiana, quindi crediamo di aggiungere tanto valore alla comunità Italiana di Orange County, incluse tutte le persone che stanno attivamente imparando l’italiano.

Questo meetup sarà al ristorante “Il Girasole” che ci è piaciuto per il suo bel ambiente. Il cibo è italiano, magari un pochino “innovativo” o “modernizzato”, ma buono.

Nei Meetup che facevo a Los Angeles, sarebbe stato consigliato avere un livello intermedio nella lingua italiana, non per escludere persone, ma solo nell’interesse di avvisare a tutti che l’italiano parlato possa essere più avanzato per un principiante. Detto quello, siamo nuovi qui, quindi va bene tutto.

Non abbiamo problemi con le famiglie che vogliano partecipare.

Everyone will pay for their own dinner, but often restaurants do not allow the bill to be split more than 3-4 ways. It’s usually better when I pay for the whole tab and everyone just sends me either Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or cash for their portion of the tab+tip.

Also, we think it’s important that people show up on time and are serious about their RSVP, changing it more than 24 hours in advance if unable to make it. Often these meetups are not only unsuccessful when there are no-shows, but restaurants also charge penalties lately. Thank you all for the collaboration.
