La Jolla Shores Snorkeling Session 🤿🦈

It’s leopard shark season! 🦈 Join us this Friday morning at 8:00 AM for our first group snorkel at:
The Marine Room

📍 Where to Park & Meet
⚠️ Please do NOT park in The Marine Room’s parking lot—that is for restaurant guests only.

• Street Parking: Free parking is available on nearby residential streets such as Paseo Dorado, Roseland Drive, and El Paseo Grande. Arrive early—spots fill up quickly. Check for time limits and street sweeping signs.
• Kellogg Park Lot: Free public lot off La Jolla Shores Drive, just a short walk to the beach.

🚶 Meeting Spot

• Head to The Marine Room (address above).
• To the left (south) of The Marine Room’s parking lot, you’ll find a public access path that leads directly to the beach. This is next to a sign that says Marine Room.
• We will meet at the sign outside the Marine Room, then walk to the beach, directly in front of the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.

🕗 Time

• The Goal is to be in the water by 8:10am every session. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach from the sign.
• Conditions will be checked that morning using the Viz (snorkel visibility) app to confirm it’s good to go.

🌊 Snorkel Spot & Details

• The snorkeling area is right at the beach and is known this time of year for large gatherings of leopard sharks.
• All levels welcome—whether it’s your first time or you’re experienced.
• Community snorkel, at your own risk.
• BYOG – Bring your own gear.
