Hello!

This is a volunteer opportunity for kids 8-18 to teach faire visitors of all ages how to code a simple Scratch Project! You will be guiding your students through a set of step-by-step instructions, so you don't have to be a Scratch expert to participate, just have some familiary. Heck if you want to participate and have NEVER used Scratch, we can give you a quick volunteer training and you will be good to go.

We are able to sign off on any needed community service or volunteer hours required.

All you would need to do is show up for a 3-hour shift on April 6th (this Saturday!), you don't need to bring anything. The Faire is located at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on the edge of Chinatown in DTLA. There is tons of public transportation there, but you can also park in the Dodgers lot and take a shuttle right there.

Any questions please give me a shout at mya@lamakerspace.com

Oh - if anyone would like to help make a banner and stuff, let me know that too and we can have a little crafting party beforehand.

Hope to see you there!
