### Etiquette
- Be respectful. This group welcomes people of all Middle Eastern backgrounds, cultures, religions, nationalities, and walks of life (even those simply interested in the culture). Treat everyone with the same respect you'd expect in return.
- Politics and religion are welcome topics; hostility isn't. We're here to learn from one another. Disagreement is completely fine but personal attacks, insults, or turning dinner into a shouting match are not.
- Come ready to mingle. Try not to spend the entire evening only with people you already know. Introduce yourself, move around, and help newcomers feel included.
- Respect personal boundaries. This is a social and cultural group, not specifically a dating event. Friendships and whatever else naturally develops between consenting adults are great, but please respect people's space and signals.
- Represent cultures with curiosity, not stereotypes. Ask questions and share experiences, but remember that no individual speaks for an entire country, religion, or culture.
- Keep the table welcoming. Avoid dominating conversations and give everyone a chance to participate. English will generally be our common language so nobody feels excluded, but you're absolutely encouraged to share and teach words from your language.
- RSVP responsibly. If your plans change, please update your RSVP as early as possible so someone else can take your spot.
- Food and drinks: Unless otherwise specified for an event, everyone is responsible for their own food and drinks. Please be considerate when splitting shared items.
- Photos: Ask before posting identifiable photos of other members publicly or on social media.
- Most importantly, have fun. Eat well, meet people you otherwise might never have met, share some stories, and enjoy the cultures that make this part of the world so interesting. ❤️
