Robert is the original designer of Continuent's Tungsten product and has implemented key parts of Tungsten Replicator, including the core message processing architecture as well as parallel replication.

Fast, Flexible, and Fun--The Tungsten Replicator Magical Mystery Tour:
Data replication is old hat for MySQL users. Right? Wrong!! Tungsten Replicator is breathing new life into MySQL replication by providing enterprise-class capabilities under a GPL V2 license. This talk is a highly technical intro to Tungsten starting from the single command installation and ending with advanced features like parallel and multi-master replication, heterogeneous data movement, and data warehouse loading. You will even learn how to grab the code and extend the pluggable Tungsten architecture to solve new problems we have not thought of. In fact, by the end of the talk you'll have the background necessary to become a replication wizard yourself.
