What we’re about
Welcome everyone! This is a mostly English-speaking meeting where we discuss literature, culture, languages, hobbies, activities, games, etc and have fun. Sometimes we go out afterwards for dinner or drinks.
Meetings occur on a weekly basis. The venue and time can deviate and in this case it will be announced in the event description or in real-time on our other channels.
The idea of the group is to provide a friendly and safe environment where all members can improve their English or other languages while conversing, listening, playing board games, or other activities with the community. The range of our activities varies depending on the number of participants.
We like to foster a supportive, respectful community where everyone can participate without fear of discrimination or ridicule regardless of language, background, identity or worldviews.
A lot more people show up than the amount listed here in Meetup as the group is also known through other channels, so don't be discouraged if you see hardly any participants listed for an event.
