Thank you for stopping by LA Climate Change Initiative! Your choice to pay attention to climate change rather than sniff at it has already proved that you are qualified to be a member of this group. Therefore, I don't need to ask any stupid filter questions (such as what your favorite food is) to test whether you are one of us.

I set up this group to meet people like you, who genuinely care about the fate of the entire human race and want to make REAL actions to solve the world's biggest problem. I firmly believe we live to make a positive impact on the world and the way to realize our worth is to help our fellow human beings.

Below are what members of this group will do. At the early stage, we will hold meetings and share our information about climate change. The format will consist of presentation, discussion and debate. Each meeting will focus on one topic, for example, natural science background of climate change, economic solutions to climate change and how climate change affects national security. These meetings will enrich our knowledge of climate change, public debates around climate change and possible solutions to climate change. We may also visit companies that are contributing to alleviating climate change, such as solar panel companies, to understand what they are doing and what problems they are facing. As a former business school student, I know how effective business world are at solving real problems. Once we have equipped ourselves with sufficient knowledge, we are ready to go to the second stage—take real actions to solve climate change. My vision is that our members will create our own start-ups to foster the transition from fossil-fuel energy to green energy.

If you share the same vision as mine, I would like to meet you. Together, we, the first generation to feel the impact of climate change and also the last generation to do anything about it, will prevent a catastrophe that is dangling in the near future.
