Paddleboarding @ Smith & Morehouse Reservoir

Let's go paddleboarding! Smith & Morehouse Reservoir is a wakeless 44 acre reservoir in the Uintah's at 7,900 feet in elevation, so it will be MUCH cooler up there than it is in the SLC valley. There is no cell service at the reservoir, so carpooling is recommended in order for us to find each other. :) Text me at 801-839-5602 if you have questions.

Meeting Spot:REI parking lot off of 3300 - if you want to carpool, text me and we can meet up! 3285 E 3300 S Salt Lake City UT I will be there at 8:15 and will wait for 15 minutes!

What to Bring:

1. Paddleboard / paddle - I have an extra paddle I can share. If you have an inflatable board, don't forget your pump! Paddleboards are available for rent from AJ Motion Sports and Canyon Sports if you just want to try it out.
2. Water & sunscreen or sun protective clothing. Water shoes are a good idea as the bottom is rocky.
3. Life vest and a completed Mussel Awareness Certificate (free, but required by the DWR for paddleboarding in 2024) - these are required by the DWR, and if officers are patrolling you can be issued a $250 ticket if you don't have a vest, or a completed certificate with you.
4. Bring some layers - it can get cooler than expected up there.

Not necessary but nice: snacks, a dry box or bag for your phone and keys, and a shore chair. :)
