🌊Hike Caparica & Mata dos Medos (14km/170m)

**This group is for women who live in the Lisbon metro area**

Hike Description:
We'll hike 14km along the coast of Caparica, starting in Charneca, going through some peaceful farmland, exploring Mata dos Medos viewpoints and seaside cliffs, and ending at Fonte da Telha beach. Total elevation gain is around 170m.

If you'd like to join for a shorter hike, you can leave after ~9km at the top of Fonte da Telha beach.

Wear shoes with a good grip, bring at least 1.5L water, and snacks/lunch since there's nowhere to stop for refreshments until the end.

We'll end at Fonte da Telha beach, which has a few cafes/restaurants. We can relax on the beach for a bit before returning to Lisbon.

Meeting Time & Place:
We'll meet at bus stop P-6 in Sete Rios at 9:10 and take bus 3716 departing at 9:20, and get off in Charneca de Caparica. If you rather meet us in Charneca, please plan to be at this meeting point by 10:00 and leave a note in the comments so we know to look for you!

Other Information:
This is not a circular hike. To return from Fonte da Telha beach, there are several buses that we can take. You may need to transfer to another bus/train/ferry to get back to Lisbon. All transport is included in the 40 euro Navegante card. If you rather return to the starting point, it should be a quick bolt/uber ride.
