Hike Description:
CHANGE IN PLANS - SINTRA FOREST CLOSED BECAUSE OF FIRE RISK. Instead of the viewpoints we can do another hike in the area instead.

We'll catch the bus from Cascais to Malveira da Serra village to begin our hike. We'll do a loop towards Quinta do Pisao where we'll have a picnic lunch and return through Malveira. Anyone who wants to do a shorter hike can leave at this point (10km). Next, we'll head out over the hills towards the coast, ending at Guincho beach. This hike is about 15.5km long with 300m of elevation gain.

Wear shoes with a good grip, bring at least 1.5L water, and snacks/lunch. We will be moving at a moderate pace and stop for a picnic lunch. This hike does not have too much shade so bring sun protection.

Meeting Time and Place
We'll meet at Cascais bus terminal at the 1624 bus stop at 10:00 AM. The bus leaves at 10:10 AM.

If you're coming from Lisbon, you can take the train from Cais do Sodre at 9:00 AM. Cascais bus terminal is about a 5 minute walk from the train station.

If you are coming by car, I recommend parking somewhere in Cascais and catching the bus with us as this is not a circular hike.

Other Information:
This is not a circular hike. We'll end at Guincho beach. There are buses back from Guincho to Cascais 1-2x/hour.
