Hike Malveira - Pedra Amarela and Peninha Viewpoints (13.5km/500m)

**This group is for women who live in the Lisbon metro area**

Hike Description:
We'll catch the bus from Cascais to Malveira da Serra village to begin our hike to two of the best viewpoints in Sintra/Cascais. We'll ascend on a wide path through the forest towards Pedra Amarela viewpoint, explore the high forest, and stop at Peninha sanctuary, which has incredible views over the entire coast. From there, we'll descend gradually back to Malveira da Serra village. This hike is about 13.5km long with 500m of elevation gain.

Wear shoes with a good grip, bring at least 1.5L water, and snacks/lunch. We will be moving at a moderate pace and stop for a picnic lunch. This hike has shade/partial shade through most sections.

Meeting Time & Place:
We'll meet at Cascais bus terminal at the 1624 bus stop at 10:00 AM. The bus leaves at 10:10 AM.

If you're coming from Lisbon, you can take the train from Cais do Sodre at 9:00 AM. Cascais bus terminal is about a 5 minute walk from the train station.

If you are coming by car, you can meet us directly in Malveira at the bus stop at 10:25, please leave a note in the comments so we know to look for you. There is a parking lot across the street and some street parking in the area, however I am not sure if it's free. We'll end the hike at the same place.
