Hike Description:
This hike explores the beautiful hills above Sesimbra. We'll meet at Sete Rios in Lisbon and take the bus to the coastal town of Sesimbra. From there, we'll start with a steep uphill walk, transition to a pine forest, and then enjoy a range of sweeping views over the coast from the cliffs. We'll pass the town of Santana and loop back down to Sesimbra, passing by the castle on the way. This hike has some truly fantastic views!

This hike is about 13.5km long with 400m of elevation gain. There is also an option to end early after about 10km if anyone does not want to walk back downhill to Sesimbra.

Wear shoes with a good grip, bring at least 1.5L water, and snacks/lunch. You may want to wear long pants as we will be on some narrow trails with bushes for the first portion of the hike.

Meeting Time & Place:
We'll meet at Sete Rios station in Lisbon and take the bus to Sesimbra together. We'll take the 3721 bus departing at 9:15 AM, here's the exact location of the bus stop (P-3). The bus also passes Alcantara so you can board there as well.

If you're coming by car or plan to meet us directly in Sesimbra - please leave a note in the comments and plan to be at the bus terminal by 10:30AM. This is a circular hike so we'll end at the same spot we began.

To return, we can either take the 3721 bus back to Sete Rios or take a bus/train combo back. All transportation is included in the 40€ Navegante pass.
