**This group is for women who live in the Lisbon metro area**

Hike Description:
We'll start at Cascais train station, stop briefly in Cascais market, and head north on the Vineyard Trail/Trilha da Vinhas until we reach the picturesque Quinta do Pisão, where we'll stop for a picnic lunch. From there, we'll pass Barragem Rio da Mula Dam and start the climb to the viewpoint at Pedra Amarela, with sweeping views over the Cascais/Sintra coast. Finally, we'll descend to Malveira da Serra village where we'll end the hike.

Total elevation gain is around 500m. The first 60-70% of the trail is flat or a gentle incline until we leave Quinta do Pisão and hike up to the viewpoint. If you want to join but can't commit to a full day, you can double back after the Marmeleiro viewpoint, for 10km total of paved, gentler trail - just send me a message or drop a note in the comments.

Wear shoes with a good grip, bring at least 1.5L water, and snacks/lunch. We'll make a brief stop at Cascais market at the start, after that there isn't anywhere to stop for food/drinks until the end of the hike.

From Malveira, we can catch the bus back to Cascais train station.

Meeting Time & Place:
Cascais train station - right outside the pay gates, in front of Pingo Doce - 9:50 AM.
I'll be taking the train leaving Cais do Sodré at 9:00 AM.
If you are coming by car, you can park somewhere near Cascais station.
