We willl be discussing “The Beginning Comes After the End - Notes on a world of change” by Rebecca Solnit, 160 pages.

Rebecca Solnit argues that the current backlash against progressive movements is a sign of profound, unstoppable societal transformation, not a reversal of progress. Solnit analyzes major shifts in civil rights, gender, and environmental awareness over the last 60+ years, framing the current "end of an old civilization" as the necessary "beginning of a new one" built on interconnection, antiracism, and feminism, despite authoritarian attempts to turn back the clock.
