Test Driven Development Simplified

Details

Hi everyone,

Ladies of Code Cologne would like to welcome you to the third meetup of this chapter! Please join us for an evening of lightning talks followed by networking.

Talk topic: TDD simplified

The core idea of Test driven development is writing tests before writing any functional code, and then writing only the least possible amount of code required to make the tests pass. It may sound strange to develop in this fashion, but it's actually quite useful.

Let's get together for a hands-on session where we start solving a problem (in Java) practicing TDD.

Speaker Info:

Diana Devasia

Diana is a Senior Application Developer. She has ventured into different domains making multiple custom products and passionately advocates about building resilient software. In her free time, she tries to automate stuff revolving around her to make life more easy :)

Komal Ahluwalia

Komal is a developer, an arm-chair writer, and an almost tenacious journalist who comes with an experience in transforming legacy systems into highly maintainable pieces. She is very passionate and hates it when code doesn't look right (I mean she could almost fight with you for it). She believes in "Most of the effort in the software business goes into the maintenance of code that already exists" and advocates "Doing it right".
