Get On With It! Bring Your Own Project

Details
It's a strange time at the moment: most of us are at home 23 hours a day. We're all looking for ways to break the monotony, but somehow the pile of unfinished or unstarted projects seems no more appealing than it did before the lockdown...
If there's stuff you want to get started, finished or make progress on, but are struggling for motivation, join us this Sunday 19th April. We'll get together to share what we're doing, cheer each other on and generally support each other to kick-start some momentum.
Examples of things people worked on in the last session:
- Studying for a data streaming nanodegree
- Debugging an open source app
- Improving a Python/Github profiles/Redis side project
- Setting up a new Raspberry Pi with Node-RED
- Learning about web scraping with Python
- Writing a blog post
- Refactoring a React Hooks project
- Organising some meetup notes to share with colleagues
- Updating a portfolio site to include tech projects
The structure of the session will be as follows. Feel free to join us at 2pm and dip in and out as it suits you:
From 1.50pm: Log into Zoom, grab a drink, relax.
2.00pm: On Zoom: Welcome from LoC's Suze, Anna and Sarah.
2.05pm: Tell us what you want to work on today. Type it in the chat or switch on your video camera and talk about it :)
2.15pm: Get working! Check in/get support on our dedicated Slack channel and/or collaborate in one of our video breakout rooms.
3.45pm: Check back in on Zoom, show of hands as to whether anyone wants to give a demo on their progress after tea break.

4.20pm: Demos/progress updates via Zoom.
4.45pm: Go back to working on projects, courses etc. Check in/get support on our dedicated Slack channel and/or collaborate in one of our video breakout rooms.

We will e-mail you details of how to join the Zoom and Slack chats after you have registered and before the event begins.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
