10th annual Fireworks Hike & Viewing - moderately easy

Details

A few years back, I was shown what I firmly believe is the best spot in the Springs to watch fireworks. From this one vantage point, we’ll see displays from the Broadmoor, Manitou Springs, Memorial Park, and just about every firework show within a 20+ mile radius. Trust me—you won’t find a better show in town.

Fireworks are a cherished American tradition, and I don’t plan on letting that go. I hope you’ll join me in celebrating not just the spectacle, but the reminder that we’re lucky to live in a free country.

Here’s what to know:

Broadmoor fireworks typically start around 9:15 PM

Manitou Springs is usually earlier—around 8:00 PM

Memorial Park tends to begin just after dusk

We won’t be the only ones headed up the trail, so we’ll be starting early to secure the best spot.

What to bring:
°A camp chair
°Bug spray
°Water
°A snack
°And most importantly—your patience. Once we’re set up, we may have a bit of a wait before the shows begin. It’s all part of the experience!

Please leave dogs at home. Even if your pup is typically calm, fireworks can be stressful and unpredictable for most animals. Keep them safe in a quiet, secure space tonight.

Kids are welcome—and encouraged! It’s a great event for families.

Parking at the trailhead is limited, so carpooling is strongly recommended if you're coming with others. Arrive early to lock in a good spot.

Looking forward to a beautiful evening under the stars and sparks!
