Hello and welcome to our wonderful group, Ladies on the Loose!
Looking for like-minded "50-70 something" ladies to socialize and travel with? Let's get together and plan some great adventures! Day trips, cruises, or a weekend in San Francisco. Anything is possible when a group of focused ladies get together. This is our opportunity to carry out our "bucket list"...
Karen Ramos is our organizer. Sue S began this group over 4 years ago - and we owe her a great thanks to offering women of the somewhat "older" variety a place to meet like-minded women for various activities - travel, movies, wine tasting, dancing, and anything else that involves smiling and laughing together! Let's keep the adventures going for a lot more years of fun activities! <br> <br> The intention of the group is to bring together ladies between the ages of 50 - ?? from the greater Sacramento area who like to socialize. This includes local events, movie nights, day trips, plays, dinners, hiking, biking, kayaking, golf, wine tasting , weekend getaways and even extended vacations and cruises. We also do some volunteering! The list is endless.
We welcome all your suggestions and we encourage each of our members to be active and post activities. Please let Karen Ramos (or any of the event hosts) know your ideas and we will help you turn it into an event! We encourage everyone to host something and post their ideas. We are a pretty energetic group of women so look forward to your ideas and participation!
All members must post a profile picture of the themselves. This is more of a safety issue and concern as it will enable all of us members to know who is attending our events. This is especially important if members open their homes for activities. Please comply with this request. Please contact Karen Ramos if there are circumstances where posting your picture may be a risk to you - we understand that this happens! <br> <br> Membership dues are $6.00 per calendar year and are not pro-rated or refundable. Once membership is approved you have Sixty Days from approval date to submit your dues. If dues are NOT submitted within that time period it will be assumed you do not want to join and you will be removed from this membership. <br> <br> We do use the online dues payment tool from Meetup. The link for payment is located on our website. Please contact Karen Ramos if you have any questions.
When you RSVP "yes" for an event, please, do so conscientiously. If you are unable to attend you may change your RSVP or email the Organizer / host directly up to 48 hours PRIOR to an event date - cancellation later than 48 hours prior may be counted as a "no show" (we know there can be extenuating circumstances and will take that into consideration). If you accumulate 3 "no shows" you may be dropped from the group. Thank you for understanding and complying. Please note this is extremely important, especially if there is a wait-list where we have to limit the number of people attending. This will enable other members, who would love to attend these events, to do so.
If you commit to an event and it costs money such as a hotel, play, or concert tickets you are committed to pay even if you have to cancel assuming the tickets and reservations have already been made. In addition; if you carpool, the riders should offer to pay gas to the driver. Please be considerate.
Finally, for events occurring in the home (or venue) of a member, please be considerate in your behavior - this includes (especially) events that include alcohol.
