Anyone, of any age and skill level is welcome at our Meetup, you just need to be keen to learn! The aim is to introduce you to the tech world, even if you have never done anything like it before.
One of the biggest barriers to entering the tech space is feeling intimidated by how technical the work seems, and the fact that you may never have coded before. No worries! We have a mix of tech topics and soft skill topics, so there's something for everyone.
Let us teach you the basics in a relaxed and fun environment where everyone is as new as you are.

Tasneem and Jessica explore what confidence actually looks like at two very different career stages, why imposter syndrome doesn't disappear with experience, and practical ways to build confidence through asking questions, reframing mistakes, and trusting your own ability to learn.Speakers - Tasneem Majeed & Jessica-Bianca Cordier
Tasneem is a Technical Lead at Entelect, with around 15 years of experience in technology. She grew up in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, studied Computer Science, and started her career building websites before joining Derivco, where she spent close to a decade growing as a developer and engineer. She later moved into cloud technology at AWS, gaining exposure to engineering at a different scale, before joining Entelect. Outside of work, she's an avid reader of historical fiction, a keen traveller, and a foodie always up for trying something new. She studied Computer Science, following in her older brothers' footsteps, and joined Entelect straight out of university through the graduate bootcamp. It wasn't the path she originally had in mind, but she's found genuine passion in the work and where it's taken her.
