Details: Ladies That UX Belfast supports women in the UX industry through workshops, informal gatherings and, projects and is co-lead by MT McCann (ESOFathom), Sam Nelson (Deloitte Digital), Eve McCann (EY Seren), and Rosie McKenzie (EY Seren).

Specific Event Details: Welcome to Ladies that UX Belfast October Virtual Event! This event offers fantastic speakers from across the UX industry talking about their professional lives past and present. The speakers will give talks ranging from 5-20 minutes on how they ended up in the world of UX and which skills and roles got them there. There will also be the opportunity to break out and connect with other event-goers as well as an opportunity to ask our speakers questions and dive deeper into the topic of ‘The Winding Road to UX.’

Speaker 1: Rick Monro is a well-known UX leader in Belfast, having recently taken up a new position to help shape the user experience in Contrast Security. He is also an organizer of UX Belfast, a long-standing UX Bookclub meetup that attracts many well-known international authors. Rick’s talk is a reflection on how he arrived at his current position, and a dive into a few tools and frameworks that might help design professionals understand a little more about themselves, and how they work best.

Speaker 2: Conaill Hyndman is a UX/UI designer at Deloitte Digital, recently transitioned from the world of front-end development. Conaill has a passion for accessibility and loves working closely with the developers in a team.

Speaker 3: Anna Murray is a Lead Service Designer in EY Seren, based in London. Anna’s experience in EY spans across policing​, airline industries, retail, defense, and national markets. Anna has a large focus on large IT/ Digital Transformations. For this talk, Anna will be talking about Imposter Syndrome in Design.

How to Join: Zoom details will be sent to all attendees who sign up on Meetup, on the day of the event a few hours before it kick starts.
