Conversations on design’s perfectly imperfect future

Details

Hello community and friends!

Join us for an exciting evening of conversations on design’s perfectly imperfect future, in partnership with Design Outlook 2024, on Tuesday the 18th of June, 5:30pm at NAB Place.

We welcome 2 speakers, Julia and Christina to share their talks:

Júlia Both will be discussing about creativity and automation in a time of AI.
"We used to think creative tasks would be the last to be automated. Then, Generative AI turned up. As the tech improves, creative people in all fields are debating the future of their craft. Throughout the Design industry, there are polarised opinions everywhere. In this talk, we will take a step back and explore the intersection of creativity and automation – So you can have more grounded conversations about AI, and be intentional when using it for your Design work."

Christina Zsori
Talk Title: UX/UI/AI
"It might feel like AI is popping up everywhere. AI-powered this, AI-powered that… Have you asked yourself, how do we design for AI? Well, let's spend some time looking at both the bigger picture as well as diving into the details of design principles with AI in mind."

Christina Zsori
Senior Product Designer - NAB
"Hello, my name is Christina and I find joy in at making the complex, simple and the boring, fun. With over 10 years experience, I believe it is important that we understand people, business and technology in order to deliver products and services that fulfil actual human needs. I believe good, thoughtful design comes from the comprehension of human cognition, emotion, interaction and the basic workings of nature. We can then take this knowledge to solve the problems of the day and create delightful and enjoyable experiences for everyone."

Sumday (www.sumday.io)
Sumday exists to bring the same rigour, transparency, and trust to non-financial accounting that we expect from financial accounting. With the commercial and regulatory landscape now demanding it, companies and consumers want to know that those they buy from, lend to or invest in are sustainable. Audit ready carbon accounting is in our DNA, with an early life as an accounting firm ourselves- we understand what best practice looks like.
