UX in EdTech - Lighting Talks and Q&A
Details
Ladies that UX Boston and Boston EdTech invite you to join us for an evening of lightning talks by UX professionals currently working in edtech. Each speaker will speak on some of their recent work, highlighting challenges and lessons learned in designing products for students and educators. After all talks, we’ll bring the speakers together for a panel Q&A where attendees can ask questions related to their work, career, and anything UX related.
For those already in UX, we hope the event can shed light on some of the unique research and design challenges when working with students and educators. For those interested in transitioning into UX or edtech, the event might be a good first step towards understanding what’s involved in creating effective products for different stakeholders in the education ecosystem.

The Intersection of UX and Accessibility
UX that is not accessible misses the huge demographic that is users with disabilities. However, just because an experience is accessible doesn't mean it's good UX. Balancing both priorities can be tricky, but ultimately it leads to a stronger design that reaches all users.

Teacher-Facing Product Discovery: Research, Ideation, and Prototyping
Designing a comprehensive product for teachers resembles service design. Significant resources go into the discovery phase just to ensure the team can understand the bigger picture and orchestrate the experience which helps service providers (teachers) support the end-customers (students). This case study is about a product discovery journey my team went on for an exciting new initiative.
