Join us this month as we discuss Games User Research!

In the meetup we will discuss topics such as:

• What a Games User Researcher (GUR) does
• Methods and research approaches
• Common research questions we tackle
• Tools of the trade
• vs. other User Research

There will also be a participation component where we will design a research study in groups and complete peer critiques.

Presenter:
Dr. Serena Hillman is a Games User Researcher at Electronic Arts in Burnaby. She studies users in mobile, desktop and cloud environments and has been researching and designing systems that are user-friendly and socially engaging since 2004. She has contributed to the Human-Computer Interaction research and design discipline with over 25 published papers, all focusing on designing a better UX based on user's motivations, routines and behaviours.
