ABOUT TOLUCA LAKE:
The entertainer Bob Hope made it famous, and at the height of the golden era of Hollywood, Toluca Lake was the prime location for actors to live, due to its proximity to all the major studios, in a quaint quiet corner of Los Angeles. Bette Davis, Bing Crosby, W.C. Fields, and the famous Amelia Earhart, all lived here, at one time or another, Today, you may run into famous residents like Denzel Washington, Andy Garcia, Joe Mantegna, Miley Cyrus. Weatherman Friz Coleman is the "honorary mayor" of Toluca Lake.
Toluca Lake stretches just barely one mile, with BOB'S BIG BOY at the east, Burbank end, North Hollywood to is north, and Studio City at its west border.
Yes- there is actually a lake! -and it is private. Surrounded by the large private estates, you might be lucky to see it if invited to a wedding or other private event at the Golf Club.
Charming, and quaint, Toluca Lake strives to keep its small town feel by encouraging Mom & Pop businesses, (though in recent years they have allowed more franchise businesses to move in); still, Toluca Lake has that cute and cozy feel away from the bustle of L.A., with its small tree-lined stretch of Riverside Drive. And one of the few remaining places with non- metered parking!
Toluca Lake just celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2024.
We look forward to seeing you there, and enjoying a VERY festive evening together.
