Kayaking in Elkhorn Slough in Monterey (Read details - $10 deposit required)

Details
Ladies,
Please join me for a day of kayaking in Elkhorn Slough! I kayak here a few times each summer and it's a unique and exciting experience every time. I know you're going to love it!
About kayaking in Elkhorn Slough:
Elkhorn Slough is generally shallow water and full of sea life. We'll see plenty of sea otters (and maybe some babies), lots of birds and sometimes lots of jelly fish. The water in the slough is relatively calm - more like a slow moving river. We'll be on the water by 9:30ish and come back in around 1 - 1:30pm. Coming back in, we'll likely be paddling against a bit of wind, and it can sometimes be a workout, so be ready for that. In total, we'll be on the water between 3-4 hours.

Where: Monterey Bay Kayaks, 2390 SR-1, Moss Landing, CA (about 32 miles from San Jose)
Departure and Carpooling: For anyone who would like to carpool or follow me down, we'll leave my house at 7:45AM. My house is 3212 Woodmont Drive, SJ. If carpooling, please be prepared to help cover gas and parking for the trip.
Arrival: We need to arrive at Monterey Bay Kayaks at 8:45AM to get in line, complete safety waivers, get our kayaks rented, fitted for life jackets, get through a quick kayaking tuetc. The earlier we get on the water the better.
Parking: I believe parking is $10 per vehicle.
Attire: A life jacket will be provided for you. I usually wear a lightweight jacket and shorts, with a tank top underneath. Wear some sort of water shoes or flip flops. You will get wet and sandy, so bring a towel and dry clothing for the drive home.
Kayaks: There are multiple options but I recommend the following:
- Singles: Single sit-on-top kayak which costs $53 per person.
- Doubles: If you're bringing a friend or have arranged to buddy up with another gal, I suggest a sit-on-top double kayak, which costs $45 per person.
What to bring: Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bottled water, a snack, towel and dry clothing for the drive home. Bring a Ziplock bag or "dry bag" for your keys, cell phone, snacks, AND bring lunch!!
Food: You'll need water and a snack while we're on the water. After kayaking, we'll change into dry clothing. Restaurants in the area usually have a very long wait on Saturdays, so please bring your own lunch and we'll picnic in the parking lot before we all head home.
