1. "Django Canned Responses"
   Brian Wherry will introduce this simple, useful, open source project that's handy for testing things like mobile apps.

Brian Wherry (@bwherry) is a senior software developer at Whalerock Industries, working on content delivery for web sites and mobile apps. Brian has an extensive background of developing for desktop applications for multimedia creation, scientific computing and animation/visual effects, but he's only recently gotten into web programming and Django.

2. "Functional Programming and Django QuerySets"
Functional programming has lots of benefits - it makes code more readable, logical, and testable. It's also a good buzzword for your resume ;)
This talk discusses iterators to efficiently process data and combining iterators together in functional programs. This has a strong overlap with Django QuerySets, which also efficiently process data. John will show how to mix and match concepts to create more program awesomeness.
