1. Self-Documenting RESTful Interfaces in 5 Minutes

In this lightning talk, Byron will talk about combining Django Rest Framework and Swagger expose a self-documenting, RESTful interface to SQL tables - in under 5 minutes!

Byron Dover (@byrondover (https://twitter.com/byrondover)) is a long-time Django and Flask enthusiast currently working at Wiredrive, where he supports a team of super-talented engineers working on top secret, world-changing projects.

2. Scrape the Planet - Building Your First Scrapy Spider

The internet is full of useful information that we can play with. The problem is that it's not already in our databases! In this talk, Marcel will guide us through building a quick web scraper with Scrapy.

Marcel Chastain (@marcelchastain (https://twitter.com/marcelchastain)) is a former sysadmin turned developer with a focus on Python/Django and AngularJS, and serves as head organizer for the LA Django meetup group.

3. Upping your Programming Game

We want to be expert programmers, but we don't know how. How do we avoid the muck and mire of random advice from the interwebs? John Mitchell leads us on a tour of how to be a better programmer! We'll learn what's important, how to use tried and true resources to be awesome! We'll work less, learn more, and become experts!
