What we're about

The LA Drupal community in and around Los Angeles, California, is one of the world's largest regional Drupal user groups. With regular Drupal trainings, monthly meetings and social gatherings, LA Drupal is Southern California's hub for all things Drupal.

LA Drupal is also the producer of the annual DrupalCamp LA (http://www.drupalcampla.com) conference, the largest independent Drupal event in the world for three years running.

This is our meetup.com site. We also have an online presense elsewhere:

via Twitter at @ladrupal (http://twitter.com/ladrupal)
our http://groups.drupal.org/la site
the official ladrupal.org (http://ladrupal.org/) website
on Facebook at facebook.com/ladrupal.org (http://www.facebook.com/ladrupal.org)
on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/groups/LA-Drupal-Los-Angeles-Drupal-89528 (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/LA-Drupal-Los-Angeles-Drupal-89528?gid=89528)
and on IRC at #drupal-la (http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=drupal-la) on the freenode network

If you aren't already part of LA Drupal, it's easy to become a member (http://groups.drupal.org/node/69093). We have several meetings every month that are free and open to everyone. There are also social gatherings and formal working meetings that sometimes happen throughout the month. Events are announced on the http://ladrupal.org website, on http://groups.drupal.org/la/events and by iCal feed (http://groups.drupal.org/ical/3002) (for iCal, Google Calendar, etc.).

LA Drupal monthly meetup

Online event

This month (July 14th, 2020) LA Drupal member Mariano Crivello will be presenting "Drupal in the Lagoon," an open source docker management and orchestration tool for developing and deploying to the native kubernetes cloud provider of choice (AWS, Azure, GKE). And member Ashok Modi will present "Maintaining core and modules using Composer." All meetups begin, online or in-person at 7:00pm. When the event is in-person, please don't arrive before 6:45pm. Job announcements: This is excellent opportunity for local businesses to make job announcements or seek referrals and recommendations. You can announce open positions or ask employment related questions to the group. Job announcements happen early on, so please be on time if you have something to present or ask. Drupal After Dark: After in-person meetups, members often head to a local restaurant or bar for a Drupal After Dark social gathering. Online meetups segue into a social hour as well, we just change our virtual background from nerdy to something adventurous. Information for Presenters: If you are scheduled to present in-person, be sure to bring your laptop (and power and display cables) and whatever else you need. Parking: In-person meetups take place at the office space of one of our sponsors Stauffer, located in West LA. There is parking up and down the street on Cotner Avenue and on Beloit Avenue. See the cover image at top for where to park and how to get to the Stauffer office, or use the physical address (top right) with your favorite mapping software. Social Media: The event organizers monitor Twitter for feedback and questions that mention @ladrupal (http://twitter.com/ladrupal) or use the #ladrupal (http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23ladrupal) hashtag. Comments and Suggestions: Leave a comment below if you have topic suggestions, or if you would like to present, want to learn something, or just want to recommend a local bar or restaurant for Drupal After Hours. Other ways to Connect: Suggest a presentation or request to present one at (https://ladrupal.org/presentations) or post a comment or contact us at (http://ladrupal.org/contact)
