San Gorgonio via South Fork

Details
[Cross-posted; must leave comment to attend]
I'm currently in Colorado & I've done Sherman and the Decalibron so far, so I'm at least partially acclimatized. I want to maintain that & I also want to train to do 24 miles in a day (Langley).
Doing San Gorgonio via South Fork is as close as we get in SoCal: it's 19 miles RT & 4700' of gain. And, we might be able to add on other peaks near the route if there are trails or non-extreme offtrail travel (I'm not familiar with the area).
Alternatively, if anyone's interested in trying for Langley in a day but won't commit seppuku if I decide to turn around if the 24 miles looks like it's going to be a big issue, then we can do that instead.
In any case, we'll sleep at or near the trailhead the night before.
