Kokuho

After an infamous yakuza leader dies, his 14-year-old son is taken in by a famous Kabuki actor. Raised alongside the actor's son, young Kikuo decides to become a Kabuki actor as well. This Japanese film has become Japan's highest grossing live action film and has even been nominated for an Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
