Lady Geeks of Atlanta

I want to go on a walk, but I can't keep up with the walking groups. If you are like me, let's walk together! We'll pick trails in the Atlanta area that are rated "easy" on AllTrails and are less than 1.5 miles long. If we are feeling strong after the first loop, we might do a second. Or not! If someone needs to sit and rest for a minute, we rest! We aren't going to push hard.

Wear comfy shoes, bring some water, bug spray, and feel free to bring a walking stick.

No dogs or kids, please. I love both, but it changes the vibe.

1.5 miles, easy walk. Little Free Library on the trail if you want to donate or grab a book!
There is a parking lot right as you pull in. We'll meet there, walk around the park, see the dog park, and walk back. No sports fields here!

The city burned beneath the Dreaming Moon.

In the ancient city-state of Gujaareh, peace is the only law. Upon its rooftops and amongst the shadows of its cobbled streets wait the Gatherers -- the keepers of this peace. Priests of the dream-goddess, their duty is to harvest the magic of the sleeping mind and use it to heal, soothe . . . and kill those judged corrupt.

But when a conspiracy blooms within Gujaareh's great temple, Ehiru -- the most famous of the city's Gatherers -- must question everything he knows. Someone, or something, is murdering dreamers in the goddess' name, stalking its prey both in Gujaareh's alleys and the realm of dreams. Ehiru must now protect the woman he was sent to kill -- or watch the city be devoured by war and forbidden magic.

We hosting an activity night at the Ronald McDonald House in Sandy Springs. We are going to have beads so everyone can make bracelets. I have all the supplies, but feel free to bring your supplies, too, if you want!

The Ronald McDonald House provides support for families with children who need medical care at nearby hospitals. Families can stay at the house to stay close to the hospital when they live far away, so they can focus on the child rather than hotel bills.

Activity Night:

• 7-8pm. The group may arrive after 6:30pm to set up.
• Each volunteer will need to be let in by a staff member, do not allow other individuals to enter the House under your access.
• You may have a maximum of 6 volunteers per opportunity.
• All groups must provide all the necessary supplies for their volunteer event.
• Groups must remain in the designated volunteer area on the first floor. Unless escorted by a staff member, volunteers are not permitted upstairs.
• All volunteers over the age of 18 must bring their driver’s license or passport to check into Centegix.
• You will have male and female participants of all different ages and ability levels. The parents also like to participate.
