First Ride

First Ride: Kensington to Rocky Point Creamery

Join us for our first group ride—an easygoing route from Veirs Mill Local Park, Kensington, MD to Rocky Point Creamery in Tuscarora, MD.

Meetup:
10:15 AM— Safety brief
10:30 AM— Kickstands up

The Ride:
Expect a little over an hour each way, all back roads—no highways. Curvy, scenic, and relaxed.
We’ll ride as a group with a designated lead and sweep (tail rider). This is a no-drop ride—no one gets left behind.
Feel free to ride ahead if that’s more your pace, but please read up on group riding safety beforehand.

Safety:
Helmets are required.
Wear what feels right for you, but we suggest:
• Protective jacket
• Gloves
• Closed-toe shoes
Ride your ride—comfort and safety look different for everyone.

What to Bring:
• Water
• Sunscreen
• Full tank of gas
• Ice cream money

At the Destination:
We’ll hang at the creamery when we get there. Stay as long or as briefly as you’d like.

About the Group:
This group is for LGBTQ+ riders—women, non-binary folks, trans men, and trans women.
All bike types and experience levels are welcome.
