Lesbian Visibility Week 2026
Details
Lesbian Visibility Week (April 20-26) is an annual international celebration which was started in 2020 by Linda Riley of DIVA Charitable Trust and is organized by The Curve Foundation. It now has hundreds of events throughout the world, including panels, arts, cultural events, wellness gatherings, sports celebrations and community events. Even Niagara Falls will be lit up in the lesbian colors. The aim is to build public understanding and "to increase lesbian visibility and to create a legacy that benefits our community everywhere." The theme this year is Health and Wellbeing. You can participate by doing something as simple as wearing a lesbian T-shirt in public, putting up a lesbian flag, or attending one of the many events throughout the tri-state region. Or just hold hands with a lesbian!
Some of the events in our region are listed below and you can open the photo's section for more detailed information on each. Some events need no prior registration, some need tickets (even if they are free) and can be signed up for online. Register at LesbianVisibilty.org. The LAFF events (Lesbian Adventures Forty-Five+) can be signed up for on our meetup page at meetup.com/laff-lesbian
