CBS Film Series presents "Capturing Kennedy" with Director Q&A

Details

Before JFK was a household name, one man had a front-row seat to history.

Jacques Lowe, a Holocaust survivor who fled Germany as a teenager, arrived in America with little more than a camera to his name. After an introduction to the Kennedy family, he became JFK's preferred photographer. Jacques Lowe chronicled Kennedy’s rise from a relatively unknown Congressman to the White House. He was there when JFK could walk into a diner without anyone batting an eye, all the way through his inauguration and the tragic days of the assassination. Lowe's photographs helped create the glow of JFK's Camelot. Featuring rare, never-before-seen images, Capturing Kennedy tells Lowe’s story and the stories behind his iconic photos.
