CBS Film Series presents "The Blond Boy From The Casbah"

A heartfelt coming-of-age film based on the filmmaker's youth. This enchanting autobiographical dramedy recreates the vibrant Mediterranean city of Algiers in the late 1950s - early 1960s.

Passionate filmmaker Antoine travels to his birthplace, Algiers, with his young son to present his latest film. As he retraces his steps through the city that shaped him, he revisits a vivid tapestry of laughter, happiness, and tears of his childhood. He brings us into his neighborhood where Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived together for generations until the Algerian War of Independence.

Adapted from director Alexandre Arcady's memoir, this sentimental journey is brought to life on the vibrant streets of Algiers, evoking a bygone time.
