Let’s explore DeLeon Springs hiking trails!

De Leon Springs State Park, the Wild Persimmon Trail is a 4.4 mile wild walk along the edge of habitats in the floodplain forest created by the springs. We will also visit Old Methusalah on the newly constructed boardwalk. Total miles will be roughly 6-7 miles. Conditions may be wet and or squishy so please be prepared. Bug spray and a minimum of 2 liters of water is also very strongly suggested. There is a $6.00 entry fee to the state park.We might try to have lunch at the Old Spanish Mill and griddle house BUT if the wait is too long we will head back to Deland for lunch at Big Rig 2 diner!
