Let's Hike Volo Bog/ Tamarack View Trail

Volo Bog was dedicated as an Illinois nature preserve in 1970. Three years later it was registered as a National Natural Landmark.

The preserve includes marshes, prairie restoration areas,two other bogs, and scenic trails. The site also includes the only quaking bog in Illinois, significant in that it exhibits all
Stages of bog succession. A floating mass of
sphagnum, moss, cattails, and sedges surround an open pool of water in the center of the bog.

Pets are not allowed on the half mile boardwalk trail. Pets on a leash are allowed on the other trails.

my desire to participate in said activity Release Lake Villa Day Hiking Meetup 2.0 Group, its organizers, co organizers, event organizers, event hosts, and all its Affiliates from all and any physical injury or damages I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned activity including travel before, after, and during the said event and any and all injuries and damages even if caused by negligence of The Lake Villa Day Hiking Meetup 2.0 Group, its agents, organizers and any other leaders in anyway connected to this event.

I am Voluntarily Participating in the aforementioned activity and I am participating in the activity entirely at my own risk.

I agree my guests will be made aware of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
