Join Tonbridge’s very own moustachioed maestro, Tom Carradine, as he brings his sensational 6-piece band - fresh from four sell-out performances at Wilton’s Music Hall in London - to Tonbridge for the very first time!
Step back in time and experience the golden age of community singing. With Tom at the piano and his “China Plates” (cockney rhyming slang for mates!) by his side, you’ll be swept away on a musical journey through the East End sing-a-long tradition. Expect rousing Music Hall favourites, wartime classics from both World Wars, sparkling West End showstoppers and timeless tunes that have kept Britain singing through the decades. It’s an evening of pure nostalgia, joyous laughter and a proper old-fashioned knees-up!
Since launching Carradine’s Cockney Sing-a-long in 2014, Tom has become a leading figure in the UK’s vintage and variety scene. He’s a weekly favourite at Mr Fogg’s Tavern in Covent Garden, a regular sell-out at Wilton’s Music Hall and has entertained audiences everywhere from festivals to the Queen Mary 2 and even Trafalgar Square for the Mayor of London’s St George’s Day celebrations. His unique show has also featured on BBC One’s The Apprentice, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and countless other TV appearances.
In recognition of his dedication to keeping this beloved tradition alive, Tom was honoured by the British Music Hall Society in 2022 with an award for “Keeping the Spirit of Music Hall Alive”.
So, gather your friends, clear your throats and prepare to raise the roof with songs you know, songs you forgot you knew and songs that you have no idea where you learnt them from! This is more than a concert - it’s a community celebration of music, memories and merriment!1 attendee
