About The Film
Set in a futuristic urban dystopia, Metropolis explores the stark divide between the wealthy city masters and the workers who toil underground. The story follows the son of the City Master and a saintly figure for the workers as they struggle to bridge the vast gulf between their classes, all while facing the "evil interventions" of a mad inventor.A Unique Sensory Experience
This isn't just a movie screening; it is a celebration of silent cinema. To bring the dystopian world of 1927 to life, the film will be accompanied by Donald MacKenzie performing a live score on the museum’s legendary Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. From Tonbridge it's a train to Waterloo East, then change for Waterloo to Kew Bridge and a short stroll to the Museum.
