Let's walk the trails at Lakeland Highlands Scrub! We will meet at the trailhead parking lot where there are picnic tables and a porta-potty. From there, we will walk a 45 minutes loop that takes us through the beautiful pine scrub on a trail of white sugar sand. Along the way we will come to a boardwalk with a covered gazebo that has bench seating. Be sure to wear shoes that work well in deep sand and you may also want to bring some bug spray. I will be there about 15 minutes before the event begins, (probably wearing my camo Waffle House hat). Hope to see you there!
