Initial Meeting

A general meeting for members to introduce themselves and to know others in the group. Manufacturing is a broad subject and we have members with diverse backgrounds and goals so feel free to share with the group any skills or expertises you think will be useful for a domestic manufacturing co-operative.

One of our members will share with us his recent experience with a successful Kickstarter campaign. Coincidentally, one of the first co-op project is to build a 3d printer from the Kickstarter campaign. We will also give short demonstrations on some of the nifty manufacturing equipments available.

Once all of us have a better idea of the equipments and human resources available, we will have an informal discussion on how we can collectively build up the co-op and any future project/business ideas you like to pursue through the co-op.

Currently there are some equipments and a temperory space near Temple City, CA. However, we are still very far from a sustainable domestic manufacturing co-operative.
