# 5 - October Meetup - Elm Hackday and Elm + Elixir open source project

Hello Types!
As promised on the last meetup where we hacked on some Haskell exercises fromexercism this meetup will be dedicated to ELM and a bit of Elixir.
Doors open at 18h45m
- 19h00 - 19h30: There will be an initial talk to present an open source project by Yari Labs (@yarilabs) that consists of a web chat widget written in ELM with an Elixir backend written in Phoenix.
- 19h30 - 20h30: we will start hacking on exercism.io with ELM.
We will follow in the footsteps of the last meetup and we'll have a workshop type of event where everyone is invited to get your hands dirty with some coding exercises.
We'll follow the ELM exercises from http://exercism.io (http://exercism.io/).Since some of the exercises overlap with the HASKEL ones we solved on the last meetup we're going to quickly jump over these and move a bit faster.
If you don't know any ELM please don't let that stop. This is completely beginner friendly. If you know Haskell you already know ELM ;)
