Our member Ricardo Miranda from Marionete has been working with very interesting technologies like Kafka, Spark, Cassandra and HDFS. A long time Haskell developer and functional programming advocate he will talk about his experience with SPARK and Scala, and show us a bit of the power lying behind both Spark and Scala for Big Data processing.

19h20 - Idris Adventures - How to build a backend in 100 lines of Idris code - by Rui Barreiro

Rui is building a mini backend in Idris that generates python code. He will show us the hello world version of an Idris Compiler, written in under 100 lines. If we have enough time we'll get to see the JS version. There will be time for Q & A and lots of code.
