Join us for a varied circular walk exploring coastal paths, limestone hills and the peaceful Lancaster Canal.
We begin at Hest Bank Wharf, a scenic spot right on the coast, and head north along the shoreline with expansive views across Morecambe Bay. Passing Jumbo Rock, a distinctive local landmark (keep an eye out for wading birds and perhaps even seals at low tide!), we continue along the coast toward Warton Crag.
After a gentle climb up Warton Crag, weโll pause to admire the sweeping views over the bay and inland to the Bowland Fells. From here, we descend into the charming village of Warton and make our way to Carnforth, passing the famous Carnforth Railway Station, featured in the classic film Brief Encounter.
From Carnforth, we pick up the Lancaster Canal, a tranquil towpath that we follow all the way back to Hest Bank, surrounded by lush greenery and the occasional narrowboat.
