Join us for a stunning circular hike in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, beginning in the charming village of Buckden. From the village car park, we’ll head west along a scenic track, climbing gradually towards Middle Falls — a beautiful, less-visited cascade tucked away above the valley.
After soaking up the views and catching our breath, we’ll begin a steady climb up to the summit of Buckden Pike (702m). The ascent is rewarded with panoramic views across Wharfedale and Littondale — a great spot for a well-earned lunch break.
We’ll then descend via the Polish Airmen’s Memorial, a poignant WWII monument near the ridge, before making our way down into the pretty village of Starbotton. There may be time for a quick pub stop here depending on pace and weather.
The return leg is a gentle, relaxing riverside stroll along the Dales Way, tracing the River Wharfe back to Buckden, with plenty of lovely spots to pause and enjoy the scenery.
